Unrivalled luxury, spectacular white-sand beaches, and an amazing underwater world make the Maldives an obvious choice for the true holidays of life.
Often considered as a paradise on Earth, this dreamland is located in the Laccadive Sea situated in the south-west of Sri Lanka.
Whether you are looking for romance, comfort, water sports or full bliss, the Maldives is one of the few places on earth that can give you an impeccable experience.
Endowed with lively sea life and underwater environment of rare beauty, it is no wonder that the Maldives Islands are particularly enthusiastic about water sports for divers and snorkelers. The most popular underwater places are the Banana reef, the Wreck of the Maldives Victory and the Fish Head.
Do not forget to visit Male, the capital city, where many mosques, bazaars, and cultural sites are located.

When to go to the Maldives
Being an island with inflated tourism, Maldivian tourism can be classified into two seasons - Peak Season and Offseason.
Peak season in the Maldives is the time when there is no rain or very little rainfall which is the best time to visit the Maldives. This dry season is known for less humidity and heat sustains from December to March. The Maldives provides the best weather for tourists in the months of November through April because it happens when all beach activities are best enjoyed. During the day, the average temperature is around 30ºC and 25ºC at night. For a tourist, it is the best time to live in the Maldives and enjoy the beach, bar, and spa.
Due to the popular time to visit the Maldives, you will see the inflow of tourism in the Maldives and get a mix of people all over the world. You can see honeymoon couples, groups of friends on bachelorette parties and many others enjoying in their own way around sandy beaches of the island nation.

If you want to see or take a scuba lesson, then it is the best weather to visit the Maldives because it will present you with incredible visibility and water temperature. With the currents flowing from the north-east direction, you can see the glimpses of the underwater world. The beauty you will be witnessing for the coming decades will be with you.
The other season is the wet season, which is a type of offseason in the Maldives; During the period from April to October, while the Maldivian tourism guide will recommend diving in the wet season, the island receives its south-west monsoon rain during the monsoon and remains through the months of May to November.
For diving, this weather can be difficult and cannot provide the best experience of diving, considering the amount of rainfall and water temperature.
